postheadericon Electric Underfloor Heating Thermostat – Heatmiser PRT-E

The Heatmiser PRT-E underfloor heating thermostat was created with electric under floor heating in mind. This model has two different modes, the first mode (mode 0) is designed to work with a remote floor sensing probe, controlling only the floor temperature to any of four different comfort levels. The other mode (mode 1) works with both a remote floor sensing probe and either a built in air sensor or a remote air sensor. In mode 1, the thermostat maintains the air temperature and uses the floor sensor to prevent overheating.

Amazon customer review:

On the plus side:

- easy to fit
- attractive on the wall
- can be programmed to four different temperatures at different times of day
- fairly intuitive

Minuses:

- just the manual really, written in techno-speak and printed in mouse writing, but a pdf (bigger!) can be downloaded from the Heatmiser website.

On the customer care front, Heatmiser are most helpful, and responded to my enquiries promptly and helpfully.

Works with Flexel ceiling heating (not mentioned in Heatmiser blurb), and the floor probe can be disabled, leaving just the internal thermometer in the unit.
